Reliable, full-power performance with no batteries to charge or replace. The Bosch Green corded range spans three tiers β Easy, Universal, and Advanced β covering everything from small domestic hedges to large established growth.
Corded hedge trimmers have a simple appeal: plug in and go. There's no waiting for a battery to charge, no worrying about running out of power mid-hedge, and no battery to buy separately. The motor delivers consistent full power from the first cut to the last.
They also tend to be lighter than cordless equivalents since there's no battery pack adding weight β which makes a real difference when holding a trimmer above your head for extended periods.
The mid and upper range models feature Bosch's ProSilence technology β a sound-dampening design that reduces operating noise by up to 80% compared to older models, making them significantly more neighbour-friendly than you might expect from a mains-powered tool.

β Most popular for typical UK domestic gardens. Tooth gap = maximum branch diameter the trimmer can cut cleanly.
From compact and lightweight to serious heavy-duty cutting β there's a corded model for every garden size and hedge type.
The entry point to the corded range. Compact and lightweight at just 2.6 kg, the EasyHedgeCut 45 is ideal for small gardens and younger, softer hedges. Simple to use and well-balanced for comfortable cutting at any angle.
π‘ Good for: Small gardens, soft new growth, first hedge trimmer
A step up in blade length, the EasyHedgeCut 55 covers more ground per pass while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. The high-speed motor gives fast, clean cuts on smaller branches and regularly maintained hedges.
π‘ Good for: Small to medium gardens, regularly maintained hedges
The sweet spot of the corded range. The 60 cm blade and 30 mm tooth gap handles far thicker branches than the EasyHedgeCut models, and ProSilence cuts noise by up to 80%. Includes a high-torque slipping clutch that protects the motor on stubborn branches, plus a sawing function at the blade tip for oversized growth. Comes with a 10 m cable.
π‘ Good for: Medium to large hedges β laurel, yew, hornbeam, leylandii
Designed for larger, more established hedges where serious cutting power is needed. Laser-cut, diamond-ground blades with a 34 mm tooth gap tackle thick, woody growth including hawthorn, holly, and berberis. ProSilence keeps noise at 93 dB. The high-torque slipping clutch (50β70 Nm) protects the motor on tough branches. Supplied with a 10 m cable.
π‘ Good for: Large established hedges β hawthorn, holly, berberis, thick woody growth
The most capable corded trimmer in the Bosch Green consumer range. The 70 cm blade is the longest available and covers large areas quickly β fewer passes means less time and effort per session. Power and tooth gap are identical to the 65; the extra blade length is the key upgrade. At 4.1 kg it's the heaviest of the range but the longest blade largely compensates. Supplied with a 10 m cable.
π‘ Good for: Very large hedges, maximum coverage per pass, serious seasonal cutting
The tooth gap determines how thick a branch the trimmer can cut. The EasyHedgeCut models manage 16 mm β fine for regularly maintained hedges. Established hedges with woody stems need the UniversalHedgeCut (30 mm) or AdvancedHedgeCut (34 mm).
The noise difference between the EasyHedgeCut and ProSilence models is very significant. If you have neighbours close by, the UniversalHedgeCut 60 or either AdvancedHedgeCut model is a much more considerate choice β and you'll notice it yourself after a long session.
A longer blade covers more hedge per sweep. For a long run of established hedge, the 65 or 70 cm models save significant time. For smaller or more intricate hedging, a shorter blade gives better control in tight spots.
Always use a residual current device (RCD) adapter when using any corded outdoor power tool. This cuts power instantly if the cable is accidentally cut. They're inexpensive and widely available on Amazon.
If managing a cable sounds like a hassle, Bosch's cordless range is excellent β and most models share the Power4All 18V battery system.
